Week 2- getting started with camera angles
In this shot it shows me holding the phone with the camera focusing on my hand.
In this shot Tyler and Brett are talking, with the camera being over the shoulder of tyler.
This shot is me being shown from my mid-waist and up.
This shot follows Christley walking away from the camera.
This shot is of Christley being shown from her knees and up.
This shot is a point of view of my opening a door and then going to give Christley a handshake.
This shot shows some classmates and their environment.
This shot is going up on the vertical axis showing this side of the Lely building.
This is a shot that goes from left to right showing off the different attractions in nation square.
This shot is a super close shot of my eye that shows some of the detail that can only be seen from up close.
In the long shot I liked how the subjects were far away, but you can still see what they are doing. When I watched this scene I felt more of a sense of importance on the setting rather than the characters.
ReplyDeleteIn the super close shot I liked how there was an emphasis on the eye of the subject. When I watched it I felt the importance of the character's eye and I got the feeling that it was a symbol for something else.
In the over the shoulder shot I like how the camera gave a different perspective for the conversation. When I watched it I felt like Brett was the emphasis in the scene, but the camera was still showing that Tyler was a part of the conversation.
Of your shots, I really enjoyed your over the shoulder shot, tilt shot, and close shot. Your over the shoulder shot features one of my favorite actors and relays a conversation between two characters. This makes me feel as if I was there and also participating in that conversation. Your tilt shot was another one that I really enjoyed because it gave me a great perspective of the space you were in. I could clearly see that there were two stories to the building and it featured many banners and posters that I enjoyed. The close shot was the last one that I liked. It focuses on Kevin and allows me to understand some of his body language.
ReplyDeleteKevin, I really liked your point of view shot because you show your pov of opening the door, taking some steps, and then shaking someone's hand. It clearly shows what you see in your eyes.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the tilt shot because it is a nice shot. I liked the how you showcased the 2 levels of the building by moving the camera in a vertical axis.
The last shot that I liked was the shoulder shot. It was a clever idea to have a shot where the person talks to another person. It was like a third person view.
After viewing your blog, I liked your tilt shot, pan shot, and your point of view shot because they all turned out nice and were very smooth. When you took the POV shot it felt pretty realistic and made me feel like I was in a VR game. The tilt shot came out very good. I enjoyed this shot because it looked like it was shot on a drone that could record in any direction. I also enjoyed your pan shot because as you moved the camera from one side to another it all came out smooth and the camera was very stable.
